Air Pollution

In this section, we will be teaching you more about the causes of pollution, and also how you can monitor and combat pollution in your own home!

• Bakersfield has a very dry, hot, desert climate and when that is combined with the pollutants caused due to the major industries in the city, this promotes particle pollution that negatively affects the way that we all breathe. 

• Other reasons include massive freeways and the fact that Bakersfield is located in a valley, surrounded by big mountains which trap and bring all the pollution together. 

• Pollution is not good for humans to breathe in, because they damage all parts of your body, and it is also bad for animals and the environment. Although removing pollution would seem like a scary task, many people actively fight against pollution.
